We spotted a really fun, reallllly easy DIY 52 Things I Love About You project for your spouse-to-be. While you’re busy with handmade wedding centerpieces, bridesmaid accessories, and other fun projects, we thought you might want to make a gifty for your groom to give on the big day, too. After all – throughout this crazy planning process and the five million questions about table linens, chicken or fish, and color schemes your groom deserves a little hey-honey-I-love-you-and-cant-wait-to-marry-you present.
This ’52 Things I Love About You’ craft (and images) are via Craftster (spotted here) and the supplies are easy to find: a deck of cards, binder rings, xylon stickers (or glue), two scrabble tiles with both of your initials, and a printer. Just type up the 52 things you love about your soon-to-be-spouse, print them out onto paper, cut ‘em out, and glue ‘em on. Cut holes into the sides of the cards and insert binder rings. Add a front and back cover (this particular example used laminated pieces of cardboard with scrapbook paper on them – but you can use anything your little heart desires.) Print a ’52 Things’ cover sticker for the front, and glue on the Scrabble tiles for a personalized touch. Then, it’s ready to gift! Another fun idea is to make these for your bridesmaid gifts and mention funny things you recall about your friendship. Remember, these ‘Things’ can be funny, random, and completely heartfelt. I’ve seen decks of cards available in different colors, too (hot pink!), as well as custom playing cards where you can order pictures for the faces of each card. This may be a fun twist on this already amazing diy idea.
